Walk Me Unknowing
2008-02-04

Life leads us to interesting places,
and sometimes to darkness unlived.
words can be spoken, or left unsaid,
and yet the feelings won’t change.

we may deny the truth of the pain,
but the place it lies still holds,
and the heart will always know,
what is there.

though are lives may just be a speck in time,
we can do much, change much, and know much.
Yet everything that we know becomes nothing,
except for that we pass on to the younger generation.

there was a day that it rained inside,
when many knew the pain of life,
and few knew how to react,
except with the knowledge of their own pain.

why would so many hurt when the weather
is so nice, why would so many feel the pain,
what dwells within the mind.
that fills the heart and soul with emptiness.

i have often said, if i could just touch one life,
i would be able to die happy.
at 21 years young, i have yet to feel as if,
the touch of wisdom of the mind has come to pass.

it seems that all the words i write go nowhere,
except into the green binder on the shelf.
the pain is in the world, and the words are meant to help,
so why do so many people hide from the truth.

(And now it seems to come all back to one word: LOVE)
