Light of the Life
2007-10-04
I will never let you go,
though the blood may drain from this hole in your head,
and the light of your life flies among the stars,
I will never let your essence go.
you never got the chance to shine,
to show the world whats inside,
the youth of your time didn’t know,
but there were some that saw.
as the years go by and your works are found,
books, movies and songs will abound.
but as it stands right now,
there is only the concrete to hear your words.
concrete and me.
tell me my friend, what you must say,
and i will let them all know the pain,
living the way you did in the mist of that war.
you never let them get you down,
you never let them stop your words,
never let them stop your words.
never let them stop your light.
yes, i will show them that all can be right,
let them know that there is no need to fight.
the earth grows cold now, as the sun has set,
and i must leave your bodily presence, as you have.
but as the years pass me by, the words that are yours,
will begin to shine, of that I am sure.
and the peace that you once dreamt of,
will become a reality, at least among those who care to know.
