I once thought I knew the question
2007-09-01

I once thought I knew the question,
the question that has the answer,
the answer to what makes a life happy.
but then the world came crashing down and
the world came falling down and
the sky fell on my shoulders,
and the weight of the earth laid on my senses
and I forgot the question,
the question that has the answer,
the answer to all of our dreams.

you know, I once thought of living as a monk,
the poverty appeals to me, the simple ways,
the ways that get me away from, away from, away from,
what am I running from this crazy society has me chasing,
at least that girl, you know that girl, the one that your always chasing.

I once thought I knew the answer,
or was it the question that I once knew,
now I don’t even know,
the only thing I know is that a monks life,
would be much more simple that the life
the complex fucked up complicated shit hole question
life that I have question come to understand the question
to the question to the answer to the question,
what is the question, what is the question,
why do I question the question to the answer of the question,

and finally, I pass out of the pain of complex,
of the fucked up world that we live in,
the world full of pain, full of war, full of shit,
full of hate

and the question is easier than you think,
the question is how can you escape from this fucked up world,
and the answer to the question that I question, what is the question,
is simply that question itself in reverse, what can we do to make the world better,
what can we do to make ourselves better.

we need to not escape, we need to turn the world upside down,
to be nice, to be kind, to give out to others, to make them question,
what is the question, that I once thought I knew.
