A Story of Epic Proportions

My Early Recollections

I have often wondered,
Why man is who he is,
And why he does the
Horrible, and hurtful,

Acts that he so often
Commits of his own will.
I remember little of my own
Beginnings.

What I do know is this,
I was innocent and did
Not fully understand
This hatred of man.

I knew it not,
As the ant knows not
The true size of the world,
They just live their life.

I was happy just living mine,
But I was broken,
I learned pain and hurt,
But before that I knew peace.

I hope that going through,
The pain, the hurt, the depression,
Of writing this, that I might,
Find that inner peace that,

I once had so long, yet,
Not so long ago.
